Talk about Deal

I am going to get right to the point. I am not going to go into my long history of trying and finally making money online and I am not going to bore you with things that failed for me. You want to know how to make money online and you don’t want to pay for that advice either, so here it is. If you follow this advice you will make money. It will not be much at first, but it will gradually grow and you will finally make a decent amount. It is completely up to you how much you make because the amount of time and effort you put into it will result in the amount of success you have. After you learn the basics you will be able to grow and put your own ideas to work thus making you more money. I am only going into the basics. You will have to go from there.

There are people who create fantastic sounding sales sites asking you to pay them anywhere from $7 to $97 for this same advice. I am not charging you anything. I do not need your money. Those guys make their living by selling you a system that they do not use. The system they make money from is to sell you a book about making money. I doubt they even tried using their system.

Here is how I can do this. First, I use this system and do not need your money. We will not be in competition since there are millions of people on these sites, but the real reason is by driving people to this site, I make good money by those people who get about to here and decide that this is not for them and they see those ads over to the left about another way to make money and click on one of them. I make a lot of money from those clicks and that is why I do this for free. Note: Never click on your own ads and never ask others to click on your ads. You will be banned if you do that.

It will cost a little to make this money but not much. In fact, you can probably do it without any cost but you might have to spend about $10 to get a domain name so that you can obtain the services needed to make the money. I will explain this as I go.

I am going to give you a basic explanation of what I do to make money and that way you can decide if you want to spend more time checking this out or if you feel it is a waste of your time. Basically, I create free blogs, put Google Adwords on them and affiliate ads too, drive massive amounts of free traffic to the blogs, and sit back and count the money. Again, this is a basic explanation and once you learn the basics, you will then go forward and make big money. It is a natural process.

Step 1
Let me go into this whole thing step by step. The very first thing you need to do is to go to Blogger.com and sign up and make a free blog. It is really easy to do. Make sure the domain name is something that someone will use when they search for information that you are giving them. Did you notice that my domain name for this blog is freeadviceonmakingmoneyonline.blogspot.com. If someone searches for the term, “free advice on making money online” there is a very good chance that my blog will be on the first or second page of search results after my blog has had time to brawled by Google’s bots. Blogger is owned by Google so it will be crawled very quickly.

I have a blog about going green. When I created my new blog I found it very hard to find a domain name about going green that someone else didn’t already have. I finally found that by using hyphens I could use you-can-go-green.com. I do not get massive amounts of organic search traffic for it but the individual posts have traffic driving titles that bring me great amounts of traffic. I will get into that later.

Once you create you blog, you merely pick a template and then start posting. Go up and look at my going green blog and go to the archive and find my first posts and you can see how easy it to. Make sure to make about 5 posts before you do anything else. Google Adsense will not let you join their service unless they can see that you have original content and have put some work into creating some decent pages. Do not copy and paste from other blogs because Google knows when you do that and they will turn you down.

Step 2
You now have a blog. Now what? Sign up for Google Adsense. This is where you might have to spend about $10. If they turn you down, it will probably be because you are using Blogger and they really prefer you to use your own domain. Remember the you-can-go-green.com blog. That is actually a blogspot blog but you notice that it does not have “blogspot” in the url like this blog does. That is because I spent $10 to turn my blogspot blog into a private domain and that is smiled upon by Google Adsense(but it still is no guarantee that they will accept you into their Adsense program. You might have to create more posts and good posts too.) Oh yeah, that $10 is for a year and that is a small price to pay I think. It really is the only money you will need to spend so even if you do not succeed with this, you will only be out a total of $10. Your blog will still work the same way it did when it was a blogspot blog. It just does not have “blogspot” in the URL.

Once you get approval from Google Adsense, go to “Monetize” link and it will ask you for your Adsense account number. Plug it in, pick the layout you want and within a few minutes, you will have ads on your blog and you are ready to make money. It will start out very small but will definitely grow if you do not give up.

Once you have an Adsense account, you can put ads on more than one blog. I have dozens of blogs and lenses all over the Internet. I use hubpages, squidoo, Yahoo domains, and Blogger and I have ads on all of them. This is how you make more money, by creating numerous blogs and driving traffic to them. I never know which one will be highly successful and which ones will be a bust. I just create and post and then I analyse and continue. You will get good at this after awhile.

Step 3
You need to continue creating posts and making a really good blog and then you need to create new blogs. Go to this link and look at some of the blogs I created using another free site called Hubpages.com You will go to a page with all of my blogs. Some of these are very short but make me good money and some make nothing. As I said before, I never know which will make good money and I am always surprised by the ones that do good. You will notice I have a lot currently about hot women. They get great traffic but the pay per click from Adsense is small so you have to drive massive traffic to get much money from them. The teacher blog on hubpages pays much better for a click but gets less traffic so you just have to try your own thing. If you know much about cancer and you create a good blog about cancer, you will likely receive pretty good per click pay but again you will not get the massive traffic that a blog about Jessica Alba will. Just have fun with it and learn as you go.

I also use Squidoo but it is different because you do not use your Adsense account. You make a lens and you get paid according to the rank your lens has. Each month they figure their revenue and then share it with the creators of the lenses. If you are #1 through #2000 you will get about $12 for that lens for the month. #2001 to about #10000 gets about $1.20 and then from there to about 60,000 gets about 9 cents. If you are below 60,000 you get nothing. You can also use Amazon, Ebay and other affiliate links and get paid if someone clicks through those links and purchases something. If you know what you are doing, you can make good money with Squidoo. I have not been real successful with Squidoo but I do make about $20 to $30 each month. I prefer using hubpages because the Adsense and the Amazon revenues are mine. You just plug in your account numbers and they take care of it.

Step 4
By now you have a few blogs and you are working at making more. You probably haven’t made much money but it will come. Go to Amazon.com and to Ebay.com and sign up for their affiliate programs so you can use them with hubpages and squidoo. Other programs you can sign up for are Shareasale.com, Commission Junction, Linkshare, and there are dozens of others you can find through a search. I like shareasale and commission junction best of all. You can find individual products in each of these and make a post reviewing that product and the you put the link in the post and if someone goes to that site and purchases the product you get the commission.

An example of this is my bicycling jerseys blog. People come there and read my stories about college bicycle jerseys and there are links to some. When they click on the link and go buy, I make anywhere from $4 to $8 per purchase. It can really add up.

Don’t go crazy putting affiliate links on your blogs. They do not do as well as Adsense and you really must place them into the blog in a seamless way to not distract the reader. Look at other blogs and see how they do it. You will learn this with time.

Step 5
This is the most important step to making money. You need to drive traffic to your blogs. You will get some free organic traffic if you did a good job of creating titles. For example, if your post is about Cairn Terrier’s and their temperament, you should make a title that matches what you think people who are searching for this info will put into Google. If you think they are going to type in “temperament of cairn terriers” then make that exact term your title. If your blog is about Cairn Terriers and the blog domain is cairnterriers.com, you will surely get free traffic to your post but it will take a few weeks or even months for it to happen.

Sometimes I do a search and see what comes up on the first page before I make a title. If I can do it better than the guy on top, I will be on top within a few weeks. I have one search term on Google for my going green blog that gets me a lot of free traffic and my pay per click is high so I did good on that one. It was a little surprising too because I was not sure I titled it right. I am not going to tell you which one it is because I do not want to compete with you.

Let me get into the way to drive massive amounts of traffic to your blogs for free and fast. This is through the use of Craigslist.com. You need to go sign up for your free account. After you have done it, just go make ads and leave your links and sit back and watch the traffic build.

Of course, it is not that easy. If it was then everyone would do it. It will take you about an hour a day to do this but you will see steady traffic if you spend that one hour a day doing it.

Craigslist is visited by millions of people each day. There are different Craigslists for dozens upon dozens of different cities all across the world. Posting ads are free but you cannot post the same ad to different cities over and over and over. That is why this will take you an hour a day. If you have 2 hours you will do even better.

The best way to explain how to do this is to give you some examples. The first example is from my going green blog. I have found the best place to post ads for this blog is in the “General Community” link. I find a city and go to General and up in the right corner is a link to post. You will have to sign into your account and then you can post.

Let’s say I want to post an ad telling people about my “20 Ways to Save the Earth” article. I will make a headline like “You Can Save the Earth” and then make an ad like “There are 20 Easy Ways to Save the Earth – Check them out at http://www.you-can-go-green.com/2009/06/20-ways-to-save-earth.html. I try to put a picture with each ad because they get clicked on more.

Now here is how Craigslist works. You can post for the same article to another city but it cannot be similar or they will disallow. So, I might make the following ad for another city. I might make a title such as “You Can Save the Earth” and then the ad may say, “Here are the easiest 20 ways to save the Earth.: http://www.you-can-go-green.com/2009/06/20-ways-to-save-earth.html. You can do this over and over and over for as long as you want as long as you change the ad up. I usually make about 3 ads for the same article and then start making ads for other articles. I have hundreds of articles so I can go on and on and on.

I get up early and spend about 2 hours creating ads for the USA and then I make ads for foreign countries just before I go to bed since they are up when the USA is asleep. Remember, there are millions of visitors and hundreds of people making ads so your ad can get buried in a hurry. That is why I always put pictures with my ads. There is a notation on every ad that has a picture and some people only click on ads with pictures. You will get more traffic that way.

If I want to make ads for my beautiful girls blogs, I have found that going to “Rants and Raves” works best. If I want to post for a blog about dogs I find the pets link and so forth and so on. I have found that I can drive hundreds of people to a single girls post and will get about 2% of those people to click on an ad which results in a small amount of change. Get dozens of ads and that increases exponentially.

I get less traffic for blogs like going green and I get about 1% click through but they pay better. You will have to experiment.

There is one negative that I absolutely hate but it is the nature of Craigslist. Some of the ads you make will be flagged and removed. There are ad cops out there who find great joy in flagging and removing some of your ads. I get about 10% of my ads flagged and it is a waste of time to fight it. Just shrug it off and go on.

I will be honest with you. It will take about 6 months to a year of doing this to become an expert and know what works and how to make things work better. Along the way, you will find one or two posts that get massive amounts of free traffic from Google and that is where you start making decent money. You will not get rich but you will make money. It is all up to how hard and how smart you work.

Go to your affiliate partners and read all you can on how to place links into your posts. They all give great advice that others try to get you to pay for. You can find everything you need to know for free. Just look. Go to Warrior Forum and read read read.
