The distressed-leather hardback case looks like a vintage book. It’s novel (get it?) and great-looking–what more could you ask for in this world of black neoprene bags?

This stuff works!

Pros: BEST injector cleaner, Easy To Use, Reliable
Cons: None
Best Uses: Home Garage, Upkeep, Injector maintenance, Automotive Repair Shop
Car/Motorcycle Describe yourself: Service station owner, Auto Enthusiast
Reviewer Comments: As a former service station owner who had at my disposal a full complement of engine analyzers, I relied exclusively on Chevron TECHRON to clean injectors and fuel systems. I can say with 100% accuracy that it works, with far too many documented cases of success and not so much as one failure. All results backed up with empirical data and complete before-and-after test results. BUY IT! USE IT! IT WORKS! A similar product which we used in carburetted engines was BERKEBILE 2+2 Gum Cutter and it too was excellent.
And if you’re using cheap gas, you really need this!

Which garbage disposals are better, easier to install?
by Talk about Deal on Jan.21, 2010, under Review
Experts say garbage disposals are both convenient and pretty environmentally sound, since you’re sending food scraps through the sewer system to your local water treatment plant rather than to a landfill in a plastic bag. If you’re replacing a broken disposal, or you’re in the process of planning a kitchen remodel, you’ll probably go with a continuous-feed garbage disposal, the most common and least expensive type. If your kitchen isn’t pre-wired for a switch on the backsplash, a batch-feed garbage disposer is an option. These are easier to install and safer, since they require you to cover the drain before activating the blades. But batch-feed disposals are a lot more expensive.

The 404 Podcast 502: Where we give Jill ‘three and a half mice’ and ‘Two and a Half Men’
by Talk about Deal on Jan.21, 2010, under Review
Jill Schlesinger joins the show today after a few months with her presence. A lot has changed since then, we got stickers, the U.S. Senate has 59 Democrats, and now ABC is doing promos for CNET.com. (The 404 Podcast and CNET are owned by CBS.)

Wilson G. Tang/CNET)
Yep, you read that right. On the ABC show “Modern Family”, Phil and Clair Dunphy argue about a new universal remote control, and in the course of talking about being a male cheerleader, Phil mentions that CNET gave the remote a smokin’ hot “three and a half mice.” Unfortunately, we switched from numbers to stars rather than mice. Jeff and Jill think it’s the new “Arrested Development” on Fox plus “The Office” on NBC.
Speaking of NBC, Jill weighs in on the whole Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien debacle. She wishes she could get paid 40 million dollars not to work, but we’re glad to see Conan sticking up for his staff.
Finally, Jill offers some good financial advice this year. It’s tax season, and she recommends that you readjust your tax withholding because you’re essentially giving the government an interest-free loan for a whole year. Otherwise, whip out a 1040EZ, a glass of scotch and just do your taxes. It ain’t that hard.

Apple Mac Mini (2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 160GB, Fall 2009)
by Talk about Deal on Jan.21, 2010, under Review
The lower-cost Mac Mini offers respectable budget performance and Apple’s usual compelling design, but a puny hard drive and a lack of HDMI hurt this system’s value and overall potential. It’s actually more versatile next to its budget-priced Windows competition than the higher-end Mac Mini, but this entry-level Mac is still best left to Apple loyalists.

Comparing rolling pins
by Talk about Deal on Jan.21, 2010, under Review
If you’ve been looking for a new rolling pin, you may be surprised by all the choices. You’ll see marble, silicone-coated, glass and stainless steel versions of the old-fashioned wooden rolling pin. But will an ice-cooled glass rolling pin really make your pie crust flakier? To sort through the options, we looked for sources that compare rolling pins head to head to see which materials keep your dough from sticking.
